The workshop “Responsible AI Use in Research Writing and Publishing: Maximising Tools and Minimising Biases” is jointly organised by the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, and the Asia-Pacific Journal of Public Health (APJPH). The programme aims to enhance participants’ scientific writing and publishing skills while promoting the responsible and ethical use of AI in academic research.
The workshop will provide participants with practical guidance on developing high-quality scientific manuscripts, including effective manuscript structuring, publication strategies, and understanding the expectations of journal editors and reviewers. Participants will also gain insights into the appropriate use of AI tools in research writing, as well as the biases, limitations, and ethical considerations associated with their use.
In addition to expert presentations, the programme includes one-to-one manuscript consultation sessions, providing participants with personalised feedback to improve the quality, impact, and publication readiness of their manuscripts. The workshop is targeted at researchers, academic staff, postgraduate students, and professionals involved in research and scholarly publishing.
E-certificate of attendance will be given to all participants.
