Congratulations to Dr Noor Izni Mohammad Shapie for successfully passing her DrPH viva on the 28th October 2020. She was supervised by Associate Professor Dr Nik Daliana Nik Farid and Associate Professor Dr Rafdzah Ahmad Zaki. The title of her thesis is The Psychological Impact of Infertility among Malaysian Infertile Men And Women: A Mixed-Methods Approach. This study found that both men and women experienced the psychological impact of infertility. However, women have significantly higher level of depression, anxiety and stress. Those with a recurrent visit to fertility clinics have a significantly higher level of anxiety compared to those with the first visit. In addition to that, a few study participants reported experiencing suicidal behaviours.
