Photovoice is a qualitative research method used to empower participants by allowing them to document and share their experiences through photography. It can be especially valuable in community-based research, capturing participants’ own particular points of view and the way they have seen their world. The messages through the photos reach people from all walks of life and influence the policy-makers to bring in positive changes.
This one-day workshop aims to provide hands-on training to participants on both synchronous and asynchronous Photovoice techniques. The workshop aims to offer customized training to participants by accommodating their own research interests. Although the workshop will primarily focus on healthcare, researchers from other fields are welcome to attend and learn about the technique.
