The Department would like to congratulate Associate Professor Dr Tharani Loganathan on her promotion. Dr Tharani is an alumnus of the Department, she joined the Master of Public Health programme in 2012 and then proceed with the Doctor of Public Health in 2013 and completed her studies in 2016. The title of her thesis was “Economic Arguments on the Inclusion of the Rotavirus Vaccine into the Malaysian Primary Immunization Schedule”. Subsequently, she went back to serve with the Ministry of Health from 2016-2018 before she joined the Department as Medical Lecturer in December 2017. Dr Tharani is a Public Health Specialist with a specialization in Health Economics. Tharani is a 2017 Equity Initiative Fellow for Health Equity in Southeast Asia. As an Equity Initiative Fellow, Tharani Loganathan is part of the larger global network of the Atlantic Fellows community.
