In an interview with TheStar newspaper on the COVID-19 mortality, Professor Datuk Awang Bulgiba Awang Mahmud cautioned that the country’s demographic needs to be examined before making swiping conclusions about its risk factors. Professor Dr Moy Foong Ming also noted obesity is not reported as a risk factor of COVID-19 mortality in Malaysia probably BMI is not routinely collected from the patients.
