The Department would like to congratulate Tah Pei Chien, a PhD candidate from the Department of Anaesthesiology on winning 2nd prize in the Best Paper Oral Presentation Award at the 20th Congress of PENSA (Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Society of Asia) 2019, October 8 – 10, 2019, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
The title of the oral presentation was ‘Assessment of Resting Energy Expenditure among Mechanically Ventilated Critically Ill Asian Patients at Different Phases of Critical Illness: Development and Validation of Predictive Equations”. The presentations were judged by Prof Rocco Barazzoni of Italy (current ESPEN Chairman), Prof Preyanuj Yamwong (Thailand) and Prof Frances Cheung.
Pei Chien’s supervisors are Assoc Prof Dr Mohd Shahnaz Hassan (Department of Anaesthesiology) and Assoc Prof Dr Hazreen Abdul Majid (Department of Social and Preventive Medicine).
