The Department of Social and Preventive Medicine (SPM) organised a farewell luncheon in honour of Atiya Ab Sallam in recognition of his retirement from the civil service.
The event was held on 27 February 2007, marking an important milestone in his distinguished career and longstanding service to the department. Associate Professor Atiya Ab Sallam’s final official day in the department was on 1 March 2007.
The luncheon provided an opportunity for colleagues and staff to express their appreciation for his contributions to teaching, research, and the development of public health within the institution. His dedication and commitment have left a lasting impact on both the department and its students.
