The International Conference on Health Sciences 2005

Staff and Master of Public Health (MPH) candidates from the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine (SPM) actively participated in the International Conference on Health Sciences (ICHS) 2005, held from 6 to 8 August 2005. The conference formed part of the University of Malaya centennial celebrations, highlighting a century of contributions to education, research, and healthcare advancement.

A total of eleven posters were presented by SPM staff and MPH candidates, demonstrating the department’s strong engagement in research dissemination and scholarly exchange at an international platform. The topics presented covered a broad spectrum of public health and clinical research areas, including diagnostic methodologies, epidemiological studies, occupational health, and patient care experiences.

These presentations reflected the integration of academic training with applied research, showcasing both faculty-led and student-driven work.
