Our distinguished speaker, Associate Professor Dr Cui Yang from Rutgers University will present her innovative research projects that use mobile health (mHealth) applications and social network approaches to address HIV and substance use among sexual minority men in the United States and China. Her work employs mHealth technology to provide tailored health interventions, real-time monitoring, and support, making HIV testing, PrEP, and treatment more accessible. By integrating social network analysis, Dr Yang’s interventions strategically leverage social connections to promote positive health behaviours and disseminate information, demonstrating the potential of combining technology and social dynamics to reduce health disparities and improve outcomes for marginalised populations.
