We cordially invite you to join our webinar on “Response to Gaming Disorder from China and the World Health Organization” by Dr Jiang Long from Yale School of Medicine.
Over three billion people engage in video gaming as a leisure activity around the globe. Excessive video gaming can become problematic and is associated with negative outcomes and functional impairment. In a growing number of countries around the globe, particularly in East Asia, the problem has reached a level that poses a serious threat to public health. The eleventh revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11; WHO) included gaming disorders for the first time in 2019. Dr Long will share information about China’s and the World Health Organization’s responses to gaming disorder and discuss this critical public health issue with participants.
We look forward to your participation in the webinar. Please share this info with your colleagues and staff.
