The Department of Social and Preventive Medicine (SPM), Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, proudly congratulates Pn. Shamsina Shamsuddin, Programme Assistant, for winning third place (joint) in the mixed doubles carom event at the Kejohanan MAKSAK Malaysia 2025, held from 19 to 23 June 2025 in Johor Bahru.

Pn. Shamsina was part of the Wilayah Persekutuan contingent, which competed against civil servant teams from across Malaysia in this prestigious national tournament. Her achievement places her among several high-performing UM staff, including champions in men’s singles and men’s doubles carom.

This accomplishment follows her outstanding performance at SUKUM 2024, where she earned two gold medals in women’s singles and mixed doubles carom. Her continued success is a testament to her skill, strategic thinking, and dedication to the sport.
