The Department would like to congratulate Dr Abuobeida Khogali Abdalrouf for successfully completing his Doctor of Public Health Viva-Voce. He was supervised by Prof Dr Sanjay Rampal and Prof Dr Victor Hoe. Dr Abuobeida joined the Master of Public Health programme in 2011 and graduated in 2012. After his graduation, he continues his work in Saudi Arabia before joining the Doctor of Public Health programme in 2015 as a part-time candidate. His research topic was very interesting and timely, which is on uptake of vaccination among Healthcare Workers in Saudi Arabia – the title of his thesis is “The Effect of Framedtext-messaging on vaccination uptake among healthcare personnel in Primary Health Care in Saudi Arabia: Randomised Control Trial“. He had a very long journey due to many hurdles that he has to face, among them was the COVID-19 pandemic.
