Another epidemiologist from the Department does not agree with the sudden opening up of the economy. However, he continues that since the announcement has been made, one could hope for was for stakeholders in businesses and industries to quickly develop standard operating procedure (SOP) with an emphasis on public health over profits.
Dr Awang Bulgiba said the main issue was that the pandemic was being perceived as a problem for the Health Ministry, instead of a national crisis.
