Each year, there is a special theme for the International Women’s Day. The theme for this year is #PressforProgress, a call to action for accelerating gender equality. All of us play a part in improving the lives and health outcomes for women and girls. Recognising this, the Malaysian Care for Adolescent Project – MyCAP was formed. MyCAP is a community project initiated by a team of researchers from the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine – Professor Maznah Dahlui, Dr Rafdzah Ahmad Zaki, Dr Nik Daliana Nik Farid and Dr Maslinor Ismail. MyCAP provides resources for teens, parents and healthcare providers. We are extremely proud that this project won the Best Community Engagement Project in 2016, awarded by UMCares (University of Malaya).
Another resource centre for information on adolescent health called the Malaysian Clearinghouse Centre for Adolescent Health (MyCCAdH) is chaired by our own Professor Maznah Dahlui.
