The invited speaker for this workshop was Associate Professor Karuthan Chinna from the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine. The workshop provided participants with a practical introduction to sample size determination through the essential steps, including the design of a study; primary and secondary outcome variables; hypothesis tests, significance and power to detect set differences of clinical importance. The workshop was attended by health professionals, students, researchers and academicians from within UM. More than 51 participants attended the workshop.
