The Angkasawan program was an initiative by the Malaysian government to send a Malaysian to the International Space Station onboard Soyuz TMA-11. The program was named after the Malay word for astronaut, Angkasawan. Dr Quek Kia Fatt from the Department will be among one of the inspiring Malaysian Astronaut trying for a place among chosen ones for the mission.
The trial will be taking place at the Subang Air Base at 0700 hrs on the 3rd September 2005.
