CePH Successfully Organises R Workshops Series 3 & 4 on Advanced Data Analytics

The Centre for Population Health (CePH) successfully organised two advanced R workshops as part of its ongoing capacity-building efforts in data analytics, marking the second consecutive year of R workshop offerings by CePH.

R Workshop Series 3: Natural Language Processing (NLP) was held on 26 and 27 November 2025, followed by R Workshop Series 4: Geospatial Health Analysis in R on 4 December 2025.

The NLP workshop introduced participants to techniques for analysing unstructured text data, including clinical notes, survey responses, and health-related documents, highlighting the increasing role of text analytics and machine learning in health and research settings. Meanwhile, the geospatial health analysis workshop focused on spatial data handling and visualisation in R, enabling participants to explore geographic patterns and generate insights relevant to health research and policy planning.

Now in its second year, the R workshop series reflects CePH’s continued commitment to strengthening data literacy and analytical capacity across health and research disciplines. By equipping participants with practical R skills applicable to diverse research contexts, CePH aims to remain at the forefront of data-driven approaches in health and research innovation.

Stay tuned for more R workshops in the future.
