Professor Dr Noran Naqiah Mohd Hairi and Professor Dr Victor CW Hoe from the University of Malaya were featured on Bernama Apa Kabar Malaysia – Bumi Sihat Kita Afiat on 13 October 2025 in a discussion on the intersection of climate change, ageing, and public health. The conversation highlighted the health impacts of climate-related events, the importance of food security and biodiversity, and the need to address the growing burden of non-communicable diseases. With life expectancy rising in Malaysia, both professors stressed the urgency of narrowing the gap between lifespan and healthy living years. They also emphasised the importance of health equity and international academic collaboration to develop resilient, inclusive public health strategies.
