On July 30, 2024, members of Epidemiology and Statistics (EpiStat), and the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Practice (CEBP) gathered at Hotel Armada, Petaling Jaya, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for the EpiStat and CEBP Members Meeting. The event was structured into dedicated sessions for each group.
The morning session from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM was dedicated to the EpiStat meeting. This session focused on key issues in epidemiology and statistics, including course evaluations by UMMP, MPH and DrPH programs. Discussions also covered future directions for the discipline, strategies for succession planning, and discipline knowledge and competencies.
In the afternoon, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the CEBP held their second meeting of the year. This session focused on the operational aspects of the research centre. Members reviewed current projects, shared insights, and collaboratively developed strategies and activities for the upcoming year.
In summary, the meeting was highly productive, featuring engaging discussions and valuable insights that strengthened collaboration and strategic alignment among the members.
