In addition to her professional advancement, Dr. Sunita has been honored with the prestigious Bintang Cemerlang Negeri Pulau Pinang (BCN) award. This accolade was conferred in conjunction with the 75th Anniversary of Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang. Dr. Sunita is an alumnus of the Universiti Malaya. She completed her Master of Public Health in 2006 and continue to pursue the speciality degree of Master of Public Health (Family Health). Her MPH(FH) thesis was Health Risk Behaviour Among Secondary School Students in Kuala Muda District, Kedah. She was supervised by Dr Victor Hoe Chee Wai and Puan Sri Dr Norlaili Abdul Aziz. Her academic and professional journey reflects her unwavering commitment to public health and her ability to lead and innovate in her field.
