The Department would like to congratulate Dr Faiz Baharudin on being appointed as the Director of Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Centre (OSHEC) Universiti Malaya. OSHEC is the UM centre that is entrusted to ensure workers and students safety and health in all UM campuses around the country. Their role is to improve working environment through safety and health promotion and prevention activities, and enhancing compliance to occupational safety, health and environment regulations.
Dr Faiz has graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Universiti Malaya back in 2013. He was then accepted for the Master of Public Health programme at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya in 2016. He completed the Master of Public Health with Distinction in 2017 and continued with the Doctor of Public Health which he graduated and was shortlisted to be among the candidate for Dr Wu-Lien Teh Public Health Award in 2022.
