In a letter to the Star Newspaper, Dr Karthikeyanathan Ramoo our Doctor of Public Health candidate and Dr Feisul Idzwan Mustapha, public health physician and deputy director, Non-Communicable Disease Section Disease Control Division Health Ministry was commenting to the letter “Plain packaging does not work” (The Star, July 21). They stress that plain packaging is one key action within the multitude of strategies required to reduce the prevalence of smoking in Malaysia.
