The country has moved from the Movement Control Order (MCO) to Conditional MCO to Recovery MCO. Many of the businesses and industries are allowed to open, however, the need to abide strictly to the standard operating procedure (SOP) developed by the National Security Council (Majlis Keselamatan Negara, MKN).
For some industries the SOP is easy to follow, as the basis of the SOP is very simple, avoid the three ‘C’ and practice the three ‘W’. Avoid crowded places, avoid confine spaces and close conversation. Practice frequent washing, wear a face mask and warn of the symptoms of COVID-19
However, for businesses and industries that have more complex operations, the SOP is less straight forward. Many of these industries required assistance and clarification on the reasons behind the SOP and how to implement them.
One of this industries is the Creative Industry, Prof Dr Victor Hoe was invited by the Film Directors’ Association of Malaysia (FDAM) to discuss the implementation of the SOP for Creative Industries at the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) centre in Petaling Jaya. The session was screened live on the FDAM Facebook page and also posted on their YouTube channel.
