Congratulations to Professor Dr Retneswari Masilamani on successful completing her PhD viva voce

Congratulations to Professor Dr Retneswari Masilamani who passed her PhD viva on 6 March 2020. Professor Dr Retneswari’s thesis is titled “Sources Of Stress And Validation Of Stress Questionnaire In The Police Force”. 

Her paper on police stress (Masilamani et al., 2013) is the first published study on stress in the Royal Malaysia Police. She is also the first researcher to properly test the police specific stress questionnaire for reliability and validity in Malaysia, the first to conduct a study on salivary biomarkers and police stress in Malaysia and the first to report organisational and operational stressors from a police specific valid questionnaire. 

Prof Dr Retneswari Masilamani is currently working in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). She was supervised by Datuk Prof Dr Awg Bulgiba Awg Mahmud from the SPM Department and Prof Dr David Koh Soo Quee from Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
