On the 16 May 2018, the department organised a farewell ceremony for Ms Camelina Chan, as she will be leaving the Department at the end of the month to join an International School in Kuala Lumpur as an Administrative Executive. Camelina has been with the department for more than five years. She has been working with Prof Maznah as her research assistance and the administrative officer for the Asia-Pacific Academic Consortium for Public Health (APACPH) Secretrait. She also worked as the administrative officer for the APACPH-KL office and runs the Faculty of Medicine’s Charity Programme, which consists of running the Charity Shop in Faculty of Medicine and collecting donations. The charity programme was established by Prof Maznah to help the underprivileged medical students with meals allowance. While she was here he managed to complete her Master of Medical Science programme. The department wishes her all the best in her career and she will be missed dearly by all the staff.
