Stella Tan a Research and Advocacy Officer at the Women’s Aid Organisation representing a coalition of 37 Malaysian NGOs at the “Information meeting with NGOs and HRIs – 1571st Meeting 69th Session Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW)”. The NGOs’ she represented advocated for women’s rights in regards to gender inequality and violence against women across all fields, including health. She spoke on issues related to citizenship related to foreign spouse and children, and violence against women. Stella Tan would like to make an open call for experts working on rural women’s health or rural women in general for collaboration. Stella Tan is an Alumni of University of Malaya, she was from the Master of Medical Science in Public Health class of 2015/2016.
