The invited speaker for this workshop was Associate Professor Dr Hazreen Abdul Majid from the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine and Associate Professor Dr Kathy Hosig from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. The workshop provided participants with various aspects of nutritional studies. There are various researches that are related to nutrition which includes clinical as well as public health nutrition The topic of the workshop is growing immensely in importance, taking into account the real potential to reduce the burden of the non-communicable chronic disease through diet. Thus the workshop encouraged participants by giving hands-on experience working in groups to discuss dietary pattern analysis with biomarkers The workshop was attended by health professionals, students, researchers and academicians from within UM. More than 25 participants attended the workshop.
