The Department wish to congratulate all the candidates for the Masters of Public Health (MPH), Masters of Medical Science in Public Health (MMedScPH), and Masters of Public Health (Speciality) programme who have successfully completed their studies. The results were officially released on 15 May 2005.
The External Examiner for the MPH and MMedScPH examination was Professor Omar Hasan Kasule from International Islamic University, Malaysia at the KAPUM, Postgraduate Session. The Department organised a lunch get together with Prof Omar Hasan Kasule on 3rd May 2005. The lunch was also attended by the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Professor Dato’ Dr Mohd Amin Jalaludin and the Deputy Dean of Postgraduate Programme, Professor Liam Chong Kin.
The Master of Public Health (Occupational Health), Master of Public Health (Family Health), and MPH(Health Services Management) final examination was held on the 11-15 April 2005. The examiners were Professor Dr David Koh the Professor and Head of Department of Community, Occupational and Family Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore for the MPH(OH) programme, Associate Professor Wong Mee Lian is attached to the Department of Community, Occupational and Family Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, the National University of Singapore, Singapore for the MPH(FH) programme, and Associate Professor Dr Zulkifli Ahmad the Head of Department of Public Health, Centre for Medical Science Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia for the MPH(HSM) programme.
The lunch with the MPH Speciality Part 2 (Year 4) External Examiner and the Dean, Professor Dato’ Dr Mohd Amin Jalaludin hosted by the Department of SPM at Rumah University on 13 April 2005.
The Masters of Public Health and Masters of Medical Science in Public Health Class of 2004/05 organised a appreciation and farewell lunch for the staff of the Department of SPM and the external examiner, Prof Omar on the 5th May 2005. Prof C.T. Lim the Deputy Dean was also present as the representative from the Faculty of Medicine.
