The UMEXPERT Page Navigator is a browser extension developed for use with the Universiti Malaya UMExpert Research Management System. This policy explains how the extension handles — or more precisely, does not handle — any user data.
The extension collects no personal data of any kind. It does not record, store, transmit, or share any information about you, your identity, your browsing activity, or the content of pages you visit. No analytics, tracking scripts, or third-party services are used.
The extension operates solely on the domain https://umexpert.um.edu.my. It reads the pagination state of DataTables already loaded on the page in order to display a navigation widget. This process occurs entirely within your browser and involves no communication with any external server.
No data is retained between sessions. When you close the browser or navigate away from UMExpert, the extension leaves no trace of your visit.

How to use UMEXPERT Page Navigator

The UMEXPERT Page Navigator adds a floating navigation widget to paginated tables on the UMExpert portal, making it easier to move through large datasets without repeated clicking.
Getting started
The extension works automatically once installed. Open your browser and navigate to any page on https://umexpert.um.edu.my. When the page contains a paginated DataTable, the navigator widget will appear in the bottom-right corner of your screen. The extension icon in your browser toolbar will turn blue to confirm it is active; it remains grey on all other websites.
Using the widget
The widget displays your current page position and the total number of pages and records. To jump to a specific page, type the page number into the input field and press Enter or click Go. To move one page at a time, use the Prev and Next buttons. The table will scroll back to the top automatically after each navigation action. To dismiss the widget without leaving the page, click the × button in the top-right corner of the widget.
Notes
The navigator is designed specifically for DataTable-powered pages within UMExpert. It will not appear on pages that do not contain a paginated table. No login, configuration, or setup is required beyond installation.
