
Dr. Ng Ai Kah is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Social & Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. She holds a BSc (Hon) in Dietetics from UKM, an MSc in Public Health from IMU, and a Ph.D. from UM. With 14 years of experience in nutrition, dietetics, and food services, she transitioned from clinical practice to academia 12 years ago.
Dr. Ng’s research focuses on dietetics, food services, food safety and quality assurance, and adolescent health nutrition. She has published in journals indexed in WoS and Scopus. She is a Principal Investigator on research projects including “Anaemia Among Indigenous (Orang Asli) Adolescents in Peninsular Malaysia” and “Understanding Sustainable and Healthy Eating Behaviours in a Higher Learning Institution.” She is also a co-researcher on the UMREG project “The Sleep Wake Conundrum.”
Dr. Ng actively contributes to the Malaysian Dietitians’ Association (MDA) as a council member and serves as the Country Representative for Malaysia at the International Affiliated Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (IAAND). She has presented at local and international conferences and serves as a reviewer for journals and an internal examiner.
