This course will introduce methods to perform systematic reviews and meta-analysis. This course will cover methods for performing systematic reviews and meta-analyses, including formulating a research question, developing a search strategy, collecting data, assessing the risk of bias, and synthesizing the evidence both qualitatively and quantitatively.
Upon successfully completing this course, participants will be able to develop an answerable question using the PICO framework, develop a search strategy and perform effective searching, describe the steps in conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis, describe methods to critically assess the risk of bias in clinical trials and describe and interpret the results of meta-analyses.
