Transitioning Leadership: Recognising Past Excellence and Welcoming New Leadership

With heartfelt gratitude, the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Practice (CEBP) extend our deepest appreciation to Associate Professor Dr Rafdzah Ahmad Zaki for her exceptional service as the Head of the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Practice (CEBP), Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya over the past three years (2020 – 2023). Her leadership, dedication, and vision have been instrumental in shaping the success of our organisation.

Associate Professor Dr Rafdzah has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence, guiding the centre towards new heights of achievement. Under her guidance, our centre managed to be recognised as the top 10 Science and Technology Research Centres in Universiti Malaya for the year 2022. Her ability to inspire and motivate her team has fostered a positive and collaborative work environment, resulting in significant accomplishments and growth.

On behalf of the Centre, a certificate was presented by Professor Dr Victor Hoe Chee Wai Abdullah, Head of the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya to Associate Professor Dr Rafdzah as a token of appreciation for her exemplary leadership, hard work, and dedication. As we bid farewell, we express our deepest gratitude for three years of dedicated service.

As we embrace a new chapter, we welcome our new Head of Centre, Professor Dr Moy Foong Ming, effective March 2024. We extend our warmest wishes for success in her new role and look forward to the positive contributions she will undoubtedly bring to our Centre. May her leadership inspire continued growth and prosperity.
