National Public Health Postgraduate Medical Programme Entrance Evaluation for September 2019 intake

The National Public Health Postgraduate Medical Programme entrance evaluation started on the 22 January 2019 and will run until 24 January 2019. This year the entrance evaluation was organised by the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya.

Dr Zulhizzam Haji Abdullah from the  Public Health Development Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia briefed the candidates on the process of the evaluation and the Ministry Health’s Master of Public Health / Doctor of Public Health programme Scholarship for entry into University of Malaya, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universit Sains Malaysia, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Universiti Malaysia Sabah and Universiti Teknologi Mara.

This year 142 candidates from all over Malaysia participated in the assessment. The session started with the multiple choice questions assessment followed by the interview. There is four-part to the assessment; an Essay on Public Health, completion of a standardised Log Book, Multiple choice questions, and an interview session. The session started with the multiple choice questions assessment followed by the interview on the afternoon of 22nd and whole day on the 23rd January 2019. On the 24th the Public Health Conjoint Committee will finalise the selection of the candidates.
