Dr Anisah Jantim has passed her DrPH viva. Her work was on dose response relationship between whole body vibration and low back pain among professional drivers in the state of Sabah. She was supervised by Associate Professor Moy Foong Ming and Associate Professor Anselm Su Ting (UNIMAS).
Dr Anisah measured the vibration magnitude produce by different types of vehicles following the ISO 2631-1, 1997 standard. Low back pain was assessed based on the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ). The findings indicated dose response relationship between increasing exposure of whole body vibration and occurrence of low back pain among professional drivers. This may contribute to the formulation of the new Malaysian safety standard regulation for whole body vibration.
