Prof Awang Bulgiba was invited to be the external examiner this year for the MSc in Medical Statistics for Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He examined the dissertations of 6 candidates in that program and held an oral examination for them on April 22 and 23 in Kota Baru, which is the health campus of Universiti Sains Malaysia. He also held discussions with our counterparts from the Department of Community Medicine in USM and exchanged ideas on postgraduate education. He thinks there is great scope for collaborations with our counterparts from USM, which despite their distance have always maintained close relations with the SPM Department.
