
Dr. Maslinor Ismail is a Medical Lecturer in Primary Health Care at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya (UM). She holds an MPH from UM and an MD from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Since joining UM, Dr. Maslinor’s work has focused on primary health care, public sexual and reproductive health, and health policy research. She has been involved in research on anemia among indigenous children, psychosocial risks and mental health of preschool care providers, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease among adolescents. As a supervisor and consultant, she has guided research on various topics, including preterm births, depression among the elderly, and COVID-19 vaccination acceptance.
Dr. Maslinor actively contributes through administrative roles and serves as a committee member at the department and university levels. She is a member of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia and the Qualitative Research Association of Malaysia. Her contributions have been recognized with awards such as the Sulam Award from the Ministry of Higher Education (2021) and the Certificate of Excellent Service from Universiti Malaya (2018).
