The Occupational Health Clinic was designed to offer a unique service that enables workers and employers to maintain a high quality of health and safety in their workplace.
Occupational health is about the effect of work on your health and about making sure that you are fit and healthy for the work that you do. Going to work carries a risk of injury or ill-health. Besides accidents, people work with chemicals or are exposed to dust that can cause asthma and dermatitis, and working with the wrong posture or technique can bring about joint and muscle aches.
Much of this is preventable by cooperation between workers, employers and Occupational Health professionals. If you think you have a condition that is due to your workplace you can consult your panel doctors and discuss the condition with them.
