Lim Sin How

Dr. Lim Sin How is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya (UM). He earned a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh, an MSHCA from the University of New Haven, and a BSc from the National University of Singapore.

Since joining UM, Dr. Lim’s research has focused on HIV/STI prevention among key populations, including men who have sex with men (MSM), and related areas like chemsex and drug use. He has published extensively in international journals, with research supported by international funding. Dr. Lim has been involved in projects addressing the continuum of care among high-risk Thai MSM and HIV prevention among Asian MSM attending circuit parties.

He actively contributes to the field as a consultant, project leader, and invited speaker at international conferences. Dr. Lim also provides academic service as an external reviewer and course facilitator. He received the Certificate of Excellent Service from Universiti Malaya in 2022.
