The College of Public Health Medicine (CPHM), Academy of Medicine Malaysia organised a special session, Majlis Makan Malam dan Majlis Amanat, on 30 July 2025 at the Raia Hotel and Convention Centre, Alor Setar, Kedah. The event was held in conjunction with the Kedah International Health Conference 2025 – Health for All: From Community to Community.

The evening featured an address by YBrs. Dr Ismuni bin Bohari, Deputy Director General of Health (Public Health), Ministry of Health Malaysia, who presented the Ministry’s strategic vision for Malaysia’s public health system. Key themes included health system reform, service delivery enhancement, human resource development, community engagement, and environmental sustainability—critical elements in building a resilient, inclusive health system.

Following the address, a townhall session was held with participants, all of whom were Public Health Medicine Specialists. This session facilitated open dialogue with national leadership, allowing for valuable feedback and discussion on current public health challenges and future directions.
The event was strongly supported by the CPHM President and Council members, including Professor Dr Victor Hoe, reflecting the College’s continued role in fostering leadership, collaboration, and progress within Malaysia’s public health community.
