Prof David Koh sharing his experience with UM public health students

It was an honour to have Prof David Koh to share his experience and expertise with our public health students in Universiti Malaya on the 18 August 2023. Dr Koh was invited by the Academy of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Malaysia to speak during their Annual Seminar at the Mandarin Oriental Hotels in KLCC. The Department took the opportunity to invite him to share his experience of research and service during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr Koh highlighted the lessons that he had learned during the SARS pandemic in Singapore in 2003 and how he has used those experience to publish in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Koh is a Professor with the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and the Distinguished Professor of Occupational Health and Medicine, PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. This is the first event we organise at the TDR Regional Training Centre in the Western Pacific Region – Malaysian Global Health Consortium.
