Today the CodeBlue Galencentre news portal published a summary of the presentation Prof Dr Ng Chiu Wan shared during the Webinar: Flip Side of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the 13 May 2020. Prof Ng has indicated that the information presented was just a preliminary finding of the works the group of researchers from the University of Malaya. The research was based on the mortality statistics from the Malaysian Statistics Department.
The main findings were there was an increase in all-cause mortality in the month of October 2019 to 10 March 2020 compared to the three years historical average among people 60 years and above.
