Shoji Endo from Yokohama, Japan came to Malaysia in 2016 to study Public Health in the University of Malaya. He joined the Master of Medical Science in Public Health programme from the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, and completed his studies in 2018. After graduation he returned to Japan, however, later he came back to Malaysia again to join MERCY Malaysia.
During the current movement control order (MCO) on top of managing all the issues in Mercy Malaysia he started teaching Japanese. Every day at 9am since April 4, the cheery-faced Shoji-san has been greeting visitors via the brief clips of Keep Calm and Learn Japanese uploaded on the Mercy Malaysia Facebook page.
His endeavours was highlighted in a article published in the Star newspaper.
