This OSHE Alert was prepared by the Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Unit. This document provides guidelines for managing the effects of haze in the workplace and among workers. It includes measures to minimise outdoor activities, ensure proper air conditioning maintenance, use air purifiers, provide health education, and use respirators for employees working outdoors. The document also details the short-term and long-term health effects of haze exposure and provides a framework for action based on the Air Pollution Index (API) levels, from good to hazardous conditions.
