The department would like to congratulate Ms Suriawati Abu Aziz for her Masters viva voce held on 2 April 2019. The title of her thesis is ‘Association of bone mineral content with dietary intakes among 13-year-old school going adolescents’. The study aim was to investigate the relationship between the dietary intake of calcium and vitamin D, physical activity, and bone mineral content (BMC) in 13-year-old Malaysian adolescents. The findings of the study suggest a combination of dietary intake of vitamin D and calcium is positively associated with the BMC. Paper was published in Nutrients journal; Suriawati, A.A.; Majid, H.A.; Al-Sadat, N.; Mohamed, M.N.A.; Jalaludin, M.Y.
