The New Zealand College of Public Health MEDICINE (NZCPHM) held their Annual Scientific Meeting and Workshop at James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor in Wellington, New Zealand from 19-21 September 2018. The focus on the first-day meeting was on Te Tiriti and relation to Maori’s health. While the on the second day the talks focused on Collaboration and partnership to improve public health and equity. The meeting was attended by public health physicians from around New Zealand and the delegates from the College of Public Health Medicine, Academy of Medicine Malaysia.
The Malaysian delegates were led by the President of CPHM-AMM, Dato Indera Dr Sha’ari Ngadiman, Datuk Lokman Hakim Sulaiman, Dr Tahir Aris, Dr Ahmad Faudzi Yusoff, Prof Dr Sanjay Rampal and Prof Dr Victor Hoe. The delegates also had a side meeting with Dr Felicity Dumble the President of NZCPHM and Council Members of the NZCPHM. The meeting was to discuss on the NZCPHM Fellowship programme and the opportunity for collaboration in setting up a similar training programme for Public Health specialist training in Malaysia.
