Ng Yit Han has successfully defended his PhD thesis at Universiti Malaya, focusing on developing a Healthy Lifestyle Index (HLI) to predict Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) risk among Malaysian teachers. His research addressed the growing public health issue of T2DM in Malaysia, particularly within the teaching profession, and involved an extensive eight-year follow-up study.
