The Master of Public Health (Epidemiology) and Master of Public Health (Occupational Health) Part II Examination was held from 2-6 April 2007. The external examiners for the MPH (Epidemiology) examination are Prof Ivan J Perry is the Head of Department Epidemiology and Public Health, University College Cork, Ireland. and for MPH (Occupational Health) was Prof Ken Takahashi the Professor and Chair of the Department of Environmental Epidemiology of the Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences, University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan.

The Master of Public Health (Family Health) examination was held on a different day to accommodate the external examiners schedule Associate Professor Wong Mee Lian is attached to the Department of Community, Occupational and Family Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, the National University of Singapore, Singapore.

Lunch with External Examiners

The department hosted lunch in honour of Professor Ivan Perry and Professor Ken Takahashi at Castell Restaurant in Petaling Jaya on 05 April 2007. The lunch was also attended by the Deputy Dean Prof Dr Rosmawati Mohamed, Deputy Dean Prof Dr Mustafa b Ali Mohd, Deputy Dean Prof Patrick Tan, Prof Atiya Ab Sallam and staff from SPM.

Farewell Celebration

The Master of Public Health Speciality Candidates who have just completed their final examinations was given the final briefing by Associate Professor Dato Noor Ghani on 24 May 2007. Following that they were treated to tea by the Department. The students also treated the Department to Lunch later the same day.
