SUMMARY:Workshop on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using AMOS
DESCRIPTION:\n\nIn SEM\, the interrelated relationships among multiple depe
ndent and independent constructs can be examined by researchers. SEM metho
ds have been used in many disciplines and have become an important method
for analysis in scientifically research. Structural equation modelling tec
hniques were most appropriate for this research study involving multiple i
ndependent-dependent relationships that were hypothesized in the proposed
research model. One of the most usable software for analysis SEM is called
Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS).\n\nThis workshop is an introduction
to Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using AMOS software. SEM is an ext
ension of the general linear model (GLM) that enables a researcher to test
a set of regression equations simultaneously. Structural equation modelli
ng (SEM) is a statistical model that tries to clarify and explain relation
ships among multiple latent variables (constructs).\n\nThis course include
s an introduction to the logic of SEM\, the assumptions and required input
for SEM analysis\, and how to perform SEM analyses using AMOS\, including
building and testing a model using AMOS Graphics.\n\nDr Mahmoud Danaee is
currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Social Preventive Medici
ne\, Faculty of Medicine\, University of Malaya. His academic career began
in Iran at the Islamic Azad University (Iran) in 1998. As a statistician\
, during the last 23 years\, he has taught courses in statistics\, experim
ental design\, advanced statistical methods\, and Research Methodology at
undergraduate and postgraduate levels in different disciplines. Currently\
, he leads Research Methodology and Statistical Clinic at RMC at the Facul
ty of Medicine\, University of Malaya.\n\nThis workshop is organised by th
