  (CEBP)\,&nbsp\;Department of Social and Preventive Medicine\,&nbsp\;Facul
 ty of Medicine\, Universiti Malaya\, and the Saw Swee Hock School of Publi
 c Health\, National&nbsp\;University of Singapore are organising the Women
  in Global Health Webinar Series. \n\n\n\nHow do we develop interventions 
 to address complex social problems such as human trafficking or child labo
 ur?\n\n\n\nTo date\, evidence suggests that few complex social interventio
 ns have been built on robust research to inform their designs before proto
 types are proposed and evaluations are commissioned. Compared to pharmaceu
 tical or medical technology\, little money and time are invested in resear
 ch and development (R&amp\;D) for complex social interventions. This discu
 ssion will address the question: What R&amp\;D methods should we use to ge
 nerate evidence to design complex interventions for specific populations i
