UM eHealth Digital Health Series welcomes you to the following webinar “Educate, Monitor and Predict Outcomes with Research in Dengue”.

Synopsis:

This is a research programme comprising three sub-projects, each targeting populations at different levels. The DeSCa project aims to empower the healthy public about evidence-based self-care and health-seeking on dengue; DeSMoS aims to provide decision support for patients diagnosed with dengue when monitoring their conditions at home; while DeSProg targets the patients admitted to the hospital in terms of predicting their disease progression (using artificial intelligence) so that appropriate clinical management could be applied. The sub-projects are currently in the final stage. The speakers will share the findings from the exploratory and development phase as well as preliminary findings from the evaluation phase.

Speakers:

Dr Teo Chin Hai, Sub-project 1 Lead – Empowering the Public to Seek Evidence-Based Health Information for Dengue Self-Care Using A Gamified Patient Education Tool (DeSCa)

Dr Ng Wei Leik, Sub-project 2 Lead – Development and Evaluation of a Dengue Self-monitoring System to Reduce Treatment Delay in Malaysia – (DeSMoS)

Associate Professor Dr Rafdzah Ahmad Zaki, Sub-project 3 Lead – Improving Dengue Severity Prognostication using Artificial Intelligence – (DeSProg)

The webinar is open to all participants who are interested especially research candidates from Public Health and Science backgrounds. No payment is required, please share this information with your colleagues and staff.
